The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco!
Happy Monday, y’all. We’re rolling into the week like your kid’s lunchbox rolling off the counter, chaotic but hopeful. Whether you’re pretending to work from home, or just vibing with some iced coffee and denial, I’ve got your Frisco fix right here.

Wakeland Girls Are Back and Ruthless

Reigning 5A state champs Frisco Wakeland girls soccer started their title defense with an 8-0 beatdown over Frisco Centennial.
Yes, 8 goals. In one game. The mercy rule actually kicked in with 20 minutes still left on the clock. 😳

Coach Lankford says their secret weapon? Speed. Like, scary speed.
Finley McKnight, Kennedy Clark, and Morgan Landry all hit the back of the net, and then some.

Next stop: Area round vs. Jacksonville this Tuesday in Forney. Possibly a doubleheader with the boys team. Grab the orange slices, it's go-time.

Frisco: America’s Favorite Suburb (Again)

According to Move Buddha, Frisco is the #5 most popular suburb in the entire U.S. to move to in 2025.

Why?
🏠 Median home value: $612K (yes, it's spicy)
🎢 New neighborhoods next to PGA and Universal Kids Resort
🌳 Grand Park is coming for your weekend plans
🎭 Center for the Arts may soon bring Broadway to town

Plus:
📈 Booming economy (hello, McAfee & TIAA)
🏫 Top-ranked schools (Frisco ISD stay winning)
👮‍♂️ One of the safest cities in the nation

Moral of the story? If you’re reading this in Frisco, you’re already living the dream.

Frisco Is Officially a Bikeable City Again

Frisco just got re-certified as a Bronze Level Bicycle Friendly Community through 2028! That means more trails, safer streets, and hopefully fewer "almost got hit by a car" stories.

Only 11 cities in Texas made the list. We’re not saying you have to become a hardcore cyclist now, but maybe dust off that bike collecting cobwebs in your garage?

🎻 The Orchestra Festival Is TODAY

Where: Memorial High School
Time: 9:30 AM – 2:15 PM
What: Students perform for judges, get feedback, and if they slay, win a trophy
Bonus: They’re hitting Main Event before the performance for games, laser tag, and pizza (because balance)

Parents, you can attend! Just enter through the Memorial HS auditorium doors at 12:50 PM.

Catch y’all Friday!
