Frisco Insider - Universal + Tesla Crash + More

The Wednesday Loop for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco.

The kids are out of school. The pools are packed. The AC is working overtime. And somewhere in Frisco, a dad is standing over a thermostat saying, “We are NOT cooling the entire neighborhood.”

Grab some iced tea, hide from the heat, and let’s see what’s happening around town.

🎢 Universal Kids Resort Is Already Causing Internet Drama

Before it even officially opens on July 1, Universal Kids Resort in Frisco has become the center of a surprisingly heated debate online.

The park was designed specifically for kids ages 3–8, featuring attractions based on SpongeBob, Minions, Trolls, and other younger-child favorites.

Some social media users have criticized the park, saying it looks too simple and resembles a carnival more than a traditional Universal theme park.

Critics say:

  • Rides look basic

  • Attractions aren't "innovative enough"

  • Some expected bigger thrills

Supporters say:

  • It's literally designed for small children

  • Bright colors and simple rides are exactly the point

  • Not every attraction needs a 300 foot drop

Remember, this park was never intended to compete with Orlando. It's meant for families with young kids who still think a spinning teacup is the greatest invention in human history.

Love it or hate it, the gates open July 1 and we'll finally get to see who's right.

🐝 Millions of Bees Escape After Texas Highway Crash

If your fear of bees wasn't already high enough...

Millions of honeybees escaped after an 18 wheeler carrying roughly 400 beehives overturned in Orange County, Texas.

  • Residents were told to stay indoors.

  • Emergency crews shut down roads.

  • Local beekeepers rushed in to help recover the hives.

Experts estimate only about 25% of the hives may survive.

The good news? No serious injuries were reported.

The bad news? Imagine explaining to your insurance company that your traffic delay was caused by approximately 14 million angry coworkers of Winnie the Pooh.

🚗 Tesla Under Federal Investigation After Fatal Texas Crash

Federal regulators have opened an investigation after a Tesla Model 3 reportedly using self driving technology crashed into a home near Houston.

The crash tragically killed a 76 year old woman who was inside the house.

Investigators are now examining whether Tesla's automated driving system played any role in the accident.

The probe comes as Tesla continues expanding its robotaxi and self driving technology programs across the country.

Officials stress that the investigation is still in its early stages.

❤️ RoughRiders Honor Teen Organ Donor's Legacy

One of the most touching moments in Frisco this month happened at Riders Field.

The Frisco RoughRiders partnered with the Southwest Transplant Alliance to host Donate Life Night, honoring Anthony Wood, an 18 year old organ donor whose final act helped save multiple lives.

Anthony's mother, Valerie Rocha, threw out the ceremonial first pitch.

The event encouraged fans to register as organ donors and helped raise awareness for the more than 10,000 Texans currently waiting for life saving transplants.

It's a powerful reminder that even in tragedy, one person can change countless lives.

Answer: A) Hollyhock, Which means the mosquitoes there apparently decided they wanted to make headlines before HOA violations could.
