The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco.
I drove through Plano yesterday, and it felt like every lane was auditioning for “Fast & Furious: Detour Drift.” Between lane closures, orange cones, and that one guy trying to merge last second… it was a lot. So yes, while Frisco’s got its fair share of roadwork, let’s count ourselves a little lucky this week.
Now let’s get into what’s shaking in our city, from major mall makeovers and miracle football wins to holiday lights, love in ugly sweaters, and an Xbox powered bowl game. Let’s roll, Frisco.

🛍️ Stonebriar Centre Announces New Tenants for 2026
Big news for shoppers, Stonebriar Centre is stepping up its game in 2026 with a wave of trendy new openings. Senior General Manager Randy Barnett confirmed six new tenants coming next year, featuring a mix of fashion, fitness, and food.
Coming Soon:
Abercrombie & Fitch – Classic looks for men, women, and kids
Alo Yoga – Luxe activewear meets influencer energy
Princess Polly – Viral fashion fav of Gen Z
Offline by Aerie – Comfy women’s athleisure
Editked – Women’s clothing and accessories boutique
Little Woodrow’s Bar & Grill – Chill American eats, cocktails, and a patio built for game days
And if that wasn’t enough, Urban Outfitters will open next year too. Looks like Stonebriar is coming for Legacy West’s crown.
For your back pain, knee pain, or some other pain
If your knees or back have been acting up lately, you probably already know how fast it ruins a normal day, sitting too long hurts, standing too long hurts, working out hurts… basically everything becomes annoying.
Core Strength Wellness helps people here right next door to Frisco get out of that cycle. No complicated routines, no “just rest it” advice. They look at how you move, figure out what’s actually causing the pain, and build a plan that fits the way you live, not the other way around.
If stairs bug you, if you avoid certain workouts now, or if you’re just tired of waking up stiff, this is an easy first step. You’ll sit down with their team, talk through what’s going on, get clarity on what’s fixable, and walk out knowing exactly what to do next.
It’s super simple to get started, just fill the form below and grab a no cost consultation. Low pressure. Useful. And honestly, it might be the first time someone actually explains what’s happening with your body.

🏈 Frisco Lone Star Pulls Off a Miracle Win Against Aledo
If you missed this one, stop what you’re doing and read this twice, Frisco Lone Star scored three touchdowns in the last five minutes to beat Aledo 56–52 in one of the most jaw-dropping comebacks in Texas high school history.
Sophomore quarterback Trey Wright turned into a local legend overnight, racking up eight total touchdowns and 543 yards of offense. Wide receiver Davian Groce went full superhero with 15 catches, 310 yards, and four touchdowns, including recovering the onside kick that changed everything.
Coach Jeff Rayburn called Wright “the best player on the field tonight,” and honestly, that’s underselling it. Lone Star now heads to AT&T Stadium this Friday at 7 PM to fight for the district’s first ever state championship title.
Miracle in Mansfield? More like destiny in Frisco.
🏗️ The Grove Frisco to Add Retail & Restaurants at Custer and Main
Because Frisco can’t stop growing, The Grove Frisco just got approval for 7.5 acres of new retail and dining space near Custer Road and Main Street.
Expect five new buildings featuring restaurants, cafes, and shops surrounding a central green lawn with picnic tables, pergolas, and walkways. It’s giving “mini Legacy West,” but with a neighborhood twist.
This is just one phase of The Grove’s 735 acre plan that already includes luxury homes, apartments, and green spaces. And yes, more development is coming, two smaller retail sites are already on deck nearby.
🚧 Roadwork Roundup: Week of December 15
Some light (for now) Frisco construction this week, nothing compared to Plano’s madness.
Ongoing pavement projects:
5612 Lafayette Dr.
9804 Prestmont Pl.
Kings Ridge Rd. between Castle Dr. & Camelot Dr.
Heads up if you live nearby, but otherwise….we’re smooth sailing compared to our southern neighbors.
