The Friday Recap For Frisco
Howdy, Frisco.
Happy Friday! You survived another week of potholes, pollen, and pretending to understand property taxes. As your weekend kicks off, I’ve got the lowdown on everything happening in Frisco: homes selling, donuts disappearing, and yes, more events to fill your calendar faster than your group chat can say “who’s driving?”
135 Homes Sold Last Month? Frisco's Market Is Still Moving
The numbers are in: 135 homes were sold in Frisco this February, and most of them were in the $400K–$700K range.
📈 ZIP 75033 saw a 37% increase in homes sold
🏠 $1M+ homes? Yup, 25 of those found new owners
⏳ Average time on market is creeping up across the board
📉 Fewer homes under contract in most ZIP codes except, 75033
So what does this all mean? Basically: if you’re trying to sell your home, maybe go ahead and mow the lawn.
$61 Million Recycling Facility Coming to Frisco
Because nothing says “we’re growing fast” like needing a brand new 120,000 sq. ft. recycling center.
Collin County is booming (shocker), and Frisco just broke ground on a massive new facility that will:
🌎 Sort your recyclables with cutting-edge tech
☀️ Use solar panels and energy-efficient lighting
🔋 Include EV charging stations
💼 Create 50+ new jobs
It’s a win for the planet and your bins.
Donut Palace Has Left Us
Sad news, sugar lovers. Donut Palace, a Frisco staple for over 20 years, has officially closed its doors.
RIP to the custom orders, strong coffee, and the kind of glazed joy that made Mondays slightly tolerable. You will be missed, old friend. 💔
📍 Closed March 17 | 7151 Preston Rd, Ste. 151A
Justice for Keith Slaughter Still Needed
It’s been nearly two years since 17-year-old Frisco ISD basketball player Keith Slaughter was tragically killed at a Little Elm house party. Police have surveillance footage but are still trying to ID the three men involved.
If you know anything—even the tiniest detail—please contact Detective Beadle at 945-985-2830 or email [email protected].
Let’s get Keith’s family the closure they deserve.
