Frisco Insider - Ranked + Cybertruck + More

The Friday Recap for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco.!

If you were outside yesterday when the sky decided to reenact a dramatic movie scene… you know. It rained HARD. My WiFi went out for a solid 6 minutes, and I just stood there staring at the wall like it was 1998. No scrolling. No streaming. Just vibes and existential thoughts.

Anyway, we survived. The grass is thriving. The mosquitoes are plotting. Let’s get into it.

Texas Edition

🏆 Texas Dominates “Best Places to Live” Rankings

Texas cities are officially having their main-character moment.

U.S. News & World Report released its annual rankings, and 40% of the top 25 best places to live in the U.S. are in Texas. That’s not a typo.

Flower Mound came in at No. 3 nationally, and here’s where some of our North Texas neighbors landed:

• No. 9: Frisco
• No. 17: McKinney
• No. 23: Allen
• No. 63: Plano
• No. 100: Little Elm

They ranked cities based on value, quality of life, job market, and desirability.

So yes, next time someone complains about traffic, just remind them: “We’re nationally desirable, okay?”

Your Gutters Will Thank You

Frisco gets over 40 inches of rain a year. Every drop that can't drain sits against your fascia, seeps under your shingles, and works its way toward your foundation.

Foundation repair in Texas runs $5,000–$15,000. A gutter cleaning costs a fraction of that, and it's the one service that makes the repair unnecessary in the first place.

We're a local Frisco company. We keep our calendar intentionally small so every job gets done right, not just done fast. Dozens of your neighbors have already scheduled, and most of them said the same thing afterward: they wished they hadn't waited.

No hidden fees. No pressure. Just clean gutters and the confidence that your home is ready for whatever comes next.

Certified, local, and ready to get up there so you don't have to. Takes about 4 seconds to get started.

🚗 Man Drives Tesla Cybertruck Into Grapevine Lake

A driver was arrested after intentionally driving his Tesla Cybertruck into Grapevine Lake to test the vehicle’s “Wade Mode.”

Yes. On purpose.

Police responded around 8 p.m. at Katie’s Woods Park Boat Ramp. The truck became disabled and started taking on water. Everyone got out safely before the fire department rescued the truck.

The driver was arrested on charges including operating a vehicle in a closed section of the park and multiple water safety violations.

Reminder: Just because something is called “Wade Mode” does not mean it’s a submarine.

🏛️ Trump Endorses Ken Paxton in Senate Race

President Donald Trump endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton in the GOP U.S. Senate race against Sen. John Cornyn.

The endorsement is widely viewed as significant, given Trump’s strong influence within the Republican base.

Political analysts note the race could reshape the dynamics of Texas’ Senate contest moving forward, particularly if it heads to a runoff.

For clarity: Frisco Insider has no political affiliation. Our goal is simply to keep you informed about developments that impact Texas and North Texas communities.

🦁 White Lioness Sisters Begin Recovery in Wylie

Two white lioness sisters, Kali and Nzuri, were rescued from a North Texas zoo and are now at In-Sync Exotics Wildlife Rescue in Wylie.

Animal advocates say the sisters were suffering from:

• Severe vitamin A deficiency
• Parasitic disease
• Neurological issues affecting mobility

Veterinarians say it’s unclear how much recovery is possible, but they are focused on improving the lions’ quality of life.

“They have a happy life here, that’s really all we can hope for,” one vet said.

It’s heavy news, but hopeful. And honestly, we’re rooting for them. A little bit of positive news always helps with a bad mood.

Stay dry. Stay neighborly. And if you see someone staring blankly at nothing, just know… their WiFi probably went out too. Ok fine sorry for talking about the WiFi so much.

Catch y’all Friday!
