The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Good Morning, Frisco.
Can we talk about yesterday?!
I opened my car door and genuinely thought I had accidentally preheated an oven. The steering wheel? Lava. The seatbelt buckle? Weaponized. If you survived Sunday without third degree burns, congratulations, you are officially Texas certified.
We hit 92°. In March. Drink water. Park in shade.
Alright, let’s get into what’s happening around town.

🏗️ Frisco Could Run Out of Land for New Homes Within 10 Years
For three decades, Frisco has been in “build mode.” But that runway may be getting shorter.
City leaders say Frisco is nearing full residential buildout, meaning we could run out of land for new neighborhoods within the next decade.
The numbers:
Population grew 17% from 2020–2024
Now over 235,000 residents
Back in 1990? Around 6,000
Historically, Frisco has added about 10,000 residents per year.
While higher mortgage rates and limited lot availability have slowed things slightly, officials say if economic momentum picks back up, full residential buildout could happen within 10 years.
What that means:
Fewer brand new subdivisions
More mixed use developments
Commercial land getting creative conversions
Denser, urban style growth along Dallas North Tollway
If you’ve noticed Frisco feeling more “downtown energy” and less “sleepy suburb,” that’s not your imagination.
We’re officially entering the next phase of Frisco’s growth era.
A Better Option For Your Kids

“Your child is meeting expectations.” You’ve heard it before. Their report card comes home. Parent-teacher conference wraps up. Your child isn’t struggling, so there’s nothing to discuss.
But you’re left wondering: Are they challenged? Are there gaps no one’s mentioning? What are they actually learning day to day?
At The Grove at Hearth, you’ll never wonder.
Small groups of 6 to 10. Your child masters math, reading, writing, and language arts before moving on. No gaps, no guessing. You’ll know exactly where they stand, every step of the way.
Then they apply what they’ve learned. Touring grocery stores to understand nutrition and economics. Exploring family heritage. Budgeting at IKEA. Learning happens everywhere, not just at a desk.
In a classroom of 25, your child might blend in. Here, they present. They lead. They’re seen.
We’re a microschool in Frisco serving 1st to 6th graders. We want families who are excited about this kind of education. True partners who bring insight about their child, while we bring expertise in how children learn.
Now enrolling for the 2026-2027 school year.

🍎 Frisco ISD Teacher Honored in “Teachers on the Rise” Program
Some good news to balance the development talk.
Olivia McGaughey of Emerson High School in Frisco ISD was named one of February’s Teachers on the Rise honorees.
She was selected from hundreds of nominations submitted by students and families across North Texas.
Each winner receives:
Market Street gift card
American Express gift card
Gift basket
And the student who nominated them gets $50
More than 500 nominations have been submitted this school year.
It’s easy to talk about buildings and growth, but teachers are the ones shaping what Frisco actually becomes.
Love seeing this.
🚐 Frisco Considering $15M Microtransit Service Ahead of World Cup
Frisco may soon roll out an on demand microtransit system in partnership with Denton County Transportation Authority.

Summer is auditioning early.
Yesterday was blazing. This week stays warm but slightly less “my car is a sauna.”
That’s your Monday rundown, Frisco.
We’re running out of land, considering new transit, honoring great teachers, dodging roadwork, and trying not to fry our hands on steering wheels.
Stay cool. Stay hydrated. And maybe crack your windows just a little.
Catch y’all Wednesday!
