The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco!
Happy Monday, friends, and congrats on surviving another weekend of “temporary” lane closures that seem to last longer than a Frisco Dunkin line at 8 a.m. If your GPS keeps rerouting you through someone’s driveway, you’re not alone. But don’t worry, I’ve got your morning coffee companion right here: the latest local buzz, event lineup, and a look at what’s happening this week across our ever growing city.

🦟 Frisco to Spray Following Positive West Nile Virus Pools
The City of Frisco confirmed three mosquito pools tested positive for West Nile virus, prompting overnight ground spraying across multiple neighborhoods from 9 PM to 5 AM, Oct. 3–5.
Spraying Areas Include:
Plantation Resort, Plantation Springs, Hillcrest Estates
Shaddock Creek Estates, Fairways at the Trails, Eldorado Fairways, and Country Club Ridge
Miramonte, Prairie View, and Collinsbrook Farm
This marks 12 positive mosquito pools this season, though thankfully no human cases have been reported. Residents are urged to dump standing water, wear repellent, and avoid playing “mosquito roulette” after dusk.
☕️ 7 Brew to Open in Frisco, Custom Drinks Galore!
