** What’s Up with These Mysterious Seed Packages?**

The Texas Department of Agriculture is sounding the alarm after unidentified seed packages started showing up at a Frisco resident’s address, without them ever ordering anything! Turns out, these packages are getting returned to this innocent Frisco resident after being sent from an unknown source (possibly overseas). Authorities are taking this seriously, especially after a similar situation happened back in 2020. The big concern? Potential biosecurity risks.

What to do if you get one? Don’t open it! Keep it sealed and report it to the Texas Department of Agriculture at 800-TELL-TDA.

** $35 Million Could Be Headed to Clean Up the Exide Plant**

City officials just wrapped up a trip to Austin and say there’s strong support from state lawmakers to help fund the cleanup of the old Exide Plant site, possibly up to $35 million!

This site, a former battery recycling facility shut down in 2012 due to environmental concerns, is a key focus as Frisco moves forward with plans for Grand Park. Cleanup will be a multi-year process, including sealing off contaminated areas and monitoring groundwater, but this funding could be a huge boost in getting things done faster.

** Universal Kids Resort: What We Know So Far**

Big news for Frisco families, Universal Kids Resort is opening in 2026, and they just revealed some of the themed lands!

Expect to step into the worlds of Shrek, Minions, SpongeBob, Jurassic World, Trolls, and Puss in Boots. Kids will be able to explore Shrek’s swamp, take part in a Minion-fueled water fight, and even meet dinosaurs in Jurassic World. There’s also a 300-room on-site hotel to keep the fun going beyond the park.

Frisco is about to be home to one of the most unique theme parks in the country, get ready!

** Roadwork Update: Coit & SH 121**

If you’ve been navigating the construction mess at Coit and SH 121, good news, the project is almost done! By the end of February, the second right-turn lane at southbound Coit should be finished, which should help with the traffic flow in the area. Expect more improvements like updated signals, better drainage, and new lane striping to follow.
