Capital Murder Suspect Caught After Foot Chase in Frisco

WILD. A 21 year old man wanted for capital murder in Dallas County was arrested Wednesday in Frisco after fleeing from a traffic stop on Stonebrook Parkway.

The suspect, Jonathan Elizalde, jumped out of the car (which smelled like weed, police say) and bolted. Police launched drones, searched the area, and eventually found him hiding under bushes after a local resident called it in.
Charges include:

• Capital murder (Dallas County)

• Theft of property

• Evading arrest on foot

Big shoutout to Frisco PD, and to the local resident whose fence probably needs replacing now.

Frisco Trail Project to Link Panther Creek to Regional Network

Get ready to hit the path. Frisco just approved a $439,950 design contract to extend the Veloweb trail through Panther Creek.

It’ll connect with the Panther Creek Hike & Bike Trail, University Village, and even the UNT Frisco Campus. Bonus: eventually connects west to Roger’s Settlement Park and the PGA trail.
