The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Good Morning, Frisco.
First things first, I owe you an apology.
Last edition’s weather dates? Slightly chaotic. A little time travel-y. That’s on me. I promise I do, in fact, know what day it is.
Also….I sincerely hope no one showed up to Movie Night on Friday with a blanket and a dream, because that rain storm said absolutely not. If you were out there in the drizzle waiting for Wreck-It Ralph, I feel bad for you.
Alright. Let’s reset. It’s Monday. The sun is out. Let’s get into it.

🚨 Frisco Indian Eatery Ordered to Close
A recent health inspection in Frisco led to one local Indian restaurant being ordered to cease operations after inspectors documented moldy food and evidence of gnats.
Here’s what happened:
The restaurant received a 46 point demerit score
In Frisco, any score 31 or higher is considered failing
Violations included moldy food and signs of gnats
The city may post a closure placard and require follow up inspections before reopening
For context, Frisco uses the Texas Department of State Health Services inspection form, where a perfect score is 0 and higher totals reflect more serious violations.
Inspectors conducted 85 total checks between March 15–28 during this round of inspections.
What happens next?
The establishment must correct all violations and pass re-inspection before reopening. Inspection histories remain publicly available.
So yes, maybe double check the inspection portal before your next lunch adventure.
🧸 Massive Indoor Toddler Play Space Opening Near Stonebriar
Parents of toddlers….this one’s for you.
A new indoor concept called Cloudbound is planning a 10,268 square foot play space near Stonebriar.
Location:
📍 3300 Preston Road, Suite 1200 (Preston Ridge area)
Details so far:
Designed specifically for younger children
Soft play zones
Cloud inspired design theme
Estimated $850,000 interior renovation
Construction began December 2025
Projected completion: late March 2026
Translation: This isn’t a bounce house warehouse. It sounds more like a polished, toddler specific indoor destination.
Parents everywhere just collectively whispered, “Thank you.”
⚽ Frisco Preparing to Host Sweden During the 2026 World Cup
Big global energy coming to Frisco.
Sweden’s national team will use Toyota Stadium as its base camp during the 2026 World Cup.
What that means:
Sweden expected to begin practicing around June 5
FIFA requires open practices
Community appearances possible
Local businesses already planning Swedish themed décor
Officials say the stadium is essentially “plug and play” since it’s already built for professional soccer.
Also, we are apparently preparing for European visitors to meet Texas heat.
I personally cannot wait to see Swedish flags hanging around Toyota Stadium and maybe some IKEA level organization in the stands.
Frisco really said, “Sports City USA? Let’s host the world.”
