The Monday Scoop for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco, Happy Monday.
The weather’s crisp, Main Street’s glowing, and if you haven’t started shopping yet… may the Amazon gods be with you.
Frisco’s buzzing this week with construction updates, pizza and board game news (arguably the best combo ever), and plenty of festive events to keep the pre holiday spirit alive. So grab your blanket, sip that peppermint mocha, and let’s dive into what’s going down this week around town.

🚧 Eastbound Main Street to Close for Construction Next Week
Heads up, Frisco drivers, starting today at 7 a.m, eastbound Main Street will close between 3rd and 5th Street as part of the city’s Downtown Reconstruction Project. The road will reopen by Friday at 5 p.m.
What you need to know:
Detour: south on 3rd → east on Elm → north on 5th
Westbound lanes will stay open
Expect work crews installing new decorative pavers
Detour signs will be clearly posted
It’s another temporary headache for the Rail District, where small businesses have been pushing through over a year of major construction.
The good news? Once finished, the new streetscape will be pedestrian-friendly, brighter, and more vibrant, bringing new energy (and foot traffic) to the heart of Frisco.
⚽ Fans Pack Toyota Stadium for World Cup Watch Party
Frisco was loud and proud Friday night as hundreds of soccer fans gathered at Toyota Stadium to watch the World Cup draw announcement. The event didn’t assign match locations yet, that’s expected Saturday, but that didn’t stop the celebration.
It’s another sign of Frisco’s growing reputation as a soccer city, home to FC Dallas, the National Soccer Hall of Fame, and soon, possibly more World Cup action.
🎲 Texas Tabletop Society to Open in Frisco
Board game lovers, rejoice, Texas Tabletop Society is opening on December 26 on Preston.
