The Friday Recap for Frisco

Howdy, Frisco, Happy Friday!
You made it. Through the wind. Through the traffic. Through the endless yard signs that have multiplied like rabbits on every median. Good news? We’re about two weeks away from the mayoral election….which means those signs will finally disappear and our grass can breathe again.
Let’s dive into your local news, weekend plans, and weather that can’t decide what season it is.

❤️ Medical City Frisco Introduces Advanced Cardiac Arrest Treatment
Big news in the lifesaving department.
Medical City Frisco is now the first hospital in the city to offer ECPR (extracorporeal cardiopulmonary resuscitation), an advanced emergency treatment used when traditional CPR isn’t enough to restart the heart.
Here’s why this matters:
Uses ECMO technology (basically an artificial heart + lung system)
Paramedics can activate the ECPR team while en route
Works in partnership with Medical City Plano
Buys critical time to treat the underlying cause of cardiac arrest
Doctors say it can increase survival odds dramatically, from about 1% in severe cases to potentially 50% with ECMO support.
Translation: this is the kind of high level care you hope you never need….but feel very glad exists in your own city!
🏡 177 Homes Sold in Frisco, Real Estate Slows Slightly
The Frisco housing machine is still humming, just not quite as loudly as last year.
From March 2025 to March 2026:
177 homes sold (down from 206 the year before)
Majority sold in the $400K–$700K range (72 homes in that bracket)
So yes, homes are still moving, just at a slightly calmer pace. Fewer bidding wars, slightly more breathing room. If you’ve been stalking Zillow at midnight, this is your moment to pretend you’re “just browsing.”
⚖️ Two Developers Found Liable in Frisco Land Fraud Case
A Collin County jury has found two real estate developers liable for fraud and conspiracy in a land deal tied to 51 acres of commercial development in Frisco.
Key points:
Investors were promised simple structure + fair profit sharing
Terms later changed without proper disclosure
Court awarded over $1.3 million in damages
$450,000 in punitive damages added against one defendant
The case centered around undisclosed changes to partnership terms and transactions that investors say were not transparent.
The ruling doesn’t necessarily end the story, appeals may follow, but it’s certainly a reminder: read the fine print, especially when someone says “guaranteed returns.”
