💪 63 Tons in 63 Minutes: Frisco Man Honors a Second Chance at Life

At 63, Mike Smith could’ve just blown out birthday candles. Instead, he lifted them, along with 63 tons of weight at the Frisco Athletic Center.

Why? To raise money for Compassion International and honor surviving an armed robbery at 17. The crime nearly killed him, but instead sparked a life of purpose.

Mike’s story is the Monday motivation we all needed. Real strength isn't about reps, it's about reasons.

Future Rangers Star Shines in Frisco Debut

David Davalillo, a rising star in the Texas Rangers system, just made his debut with the Frisco RoughRiders.

🧢 The 22 year old right-hander pitched 4.2 innings, giving up two runs, and struck out three. Not bad for a first outing in Double A.

🔥 In his prior stint with High-A Hub City:

• 4–1 record

• 2.12 ERA

• 68 Ks in 51 innings

• Batters hit just .170 against him

Keep an eye out, he could be wearing a Rangers uniform sooner than you think.

🚔 Shooting Near Wentworth Drive Sparks Manhunt

Frisco Police responded to a disturbance-turned-shooting in the Wentworth Dr. & Saddlehorn Dr. area over the weekend.

One person was found with a gunshot wound and taken to the hospital. Two other suspects fled, prompting a search with K9 units and DPS Air One.

No further arrests have been announced yet. Investigation is ongoing. If you saw something, say something.
